The Short Films Sessions are ready-made-to-eat chunks of finely selected short films. They regularly fit in a 2-hour block in the festival film schedule.

THE STRANGER (ANJAAN) (16 mins)
Directed by Hira Tariq (Pakistan).
This is the story about a wife who is waiting for her husband to return home when a policeman arrives at her doorstep. She is given the news of her husband’s death and she invites him inside for dinner. a series of conversations takes place and leads to something more.
7 MINUTES (10 mins)
Directed by Carlos Michael Hagene (USA).
Marc and Ginny are determined to handle their breakup like civilized adults, but their inner adolescence emerges when they meet at a party and a game of Seven Minutes in Heaven and the snarky comments of a mutual friend force them into a closet to confront their mutual hatred and lingering sexual tension.
SINGULAR (4 mins)

Awakening ain’t always easy when it just depends on you. Small things become deeds, great feats without sharing forget. Breathing, walking, smile … Singular is a short film about loneliness after a breakup.
LITTLE DARLING (17 mins)

Two kids at the top of a skyscraper. A view of the sea. He is Tom Sawyer and she is Alice in Wonderland. They walk along the edge of the roof, doing everything they’re not supposed to. In that hot summer, left under the care of her grandma, she will feel love for the first time.
VHS – Victor Home System (17 mins)

Victor pirates movies on VHS for a criminal organization, but risks selling tapes out of the loop. The young man then meets her neighbor Laura, who questions his lifestyle.
CAPTAIN SANDY (16 mins)

A 7 year old girl asks for help from her parents to find the start button of her toy spaceship to go to the Moon.
SHORTCUT (16 mins)
Directed by Awat Namiq Agha (UK).
Shortcut is a short road movie; a thriller with some comic elements. It is based on Anton Chekhov’s ‘Overseasoned’ and set in contemporary Britain. Simon is a Jewish insurance salesman who arrives in the middle of nowhere and gets a lift from Abdul-Kareema, a Muslim man from Iraq. Their journey together reveals cooperation despite their cultural conflicts.
BOONRERM (16 mins)

Boonrerm is a housemaid. Every day she received weird orders.
